Good evening all... I have just heard the sad news about Light's recent loss. In Light's honor, I will do a small feature here (as suggested by the great
Light... I know I am not the first, or the last to say that you have truly made DA's fractal community come alive in your reign as Community Volunteer. Your focus was always on the fractal community here on DA and in celebrating the awesome talent with whom we share cyber space.
And, you, Light, are one of the brightest stars in the most wonderful fractal community on the web!!!
I bet there is more of your art in my favorites gallery than anyone else's. Just about every fractal piece you create is a masterpiece, an inspiration.
Your FlashMob Feature Idea is the best thing that ever happened here. I came to know so many artists that otherwise I might never have crossed paths with, and some of them silently toiled for years with little to no recognition.
As your Grannie passes over/through, I hope her journey is peaceful. I am certain it is filled with love. And I hope you and your loved ones still on this earth will learn to bask in the glow of her memory and her love. I have a feeling she has taught you much. May she comfort you, in your times of darkness.
Here's to YOU, Light... some of the best fractals can be found here at

oh, I could go on and on and on, adding more of Light's images to this journal, but it could never truly do her justice. Please, do yourself a favor and take a day or two to really go through all her work. She is a pioneer in styles and unique twists that make my jaw drop over and over.
Dearest Light, I hope you will find comfort in what may turn out to be a FlashMob for you!!!
Take all the time you need to soothe the pain of her absence. And know that I, among MANY, will be holding you in our hearts, giving you DA
Light, you do LIGHT up the web!!!
hugs and kisses and love and peace and comfort and blessings...
just one of your multitudinous fans/admirers,
janet
